À propos du créateur
Doody Richards is openly gay. If he is not seen in Oxford street Sydney among his circle of friends, he likes sitting in the dark, contemplating thoughts and writing. Growing up as a gay immigrant in Western world has never been an easy pathway from both the root where he is from and the place he calls home, Sydney. He never thought of writing a memoir until recently his long-term relationship bitterly ended and lead him to seek a refuge in Bali, a paradise that we love giving it a bad name. For him, writing is a spiritual therapy. It is a new form of meditation. His interest is to write stories that are close to his heart: gay issues, immigrants, spirituality, gender and identity. His recent published travel memoir ‘Of Fire Water Earth’ is engaging collective stories during his visit to Bali. It is an intimate journey in finding a genuine friendship, identity and spirituality. Doody always believes that living the present and looking to the future is the way we let go the past.
