À propos du livre
This book is a look into the urban world through linear perspective. Linear perspective refers to the eye’s sense of depth and distance perception. This is why two identical items will appear to vary in size with the amount of distance involved and why roads appear to narrow with distance. The set of images are meant to be a journey through everyday urban life from a different viewpoint. The visual information processed by observing the lines created from the structures and streets will add to the illusion, creating a different sense of perspective than what is actually there.
Although this is a book encompassing linear perspective, the message of this book is to motivate and remind us to always move forward. To move forward towards the future to reach our goals, plans, and hopes and dreams. Our stresses and self-doubt cause us to be clouded by negative thoughts and our vision seems to be out of focus. In the collection of photos presented, the lines created from buildings and various architecture continue on, end abruptly, or converge with other lines. Everything in the environment is clear and in detail reminding us to have an open eye and an open mind to the world, as everything will come together bit by bit.
Just remember… Always keep moving forward.
