À propos du livre
I tried a million ways to get Soleil to try new foods, eat what was in front of her, and stop saying she doesn't like something before ever having tried it.
And then we came upon this way of planning, preparing, and eating meals that not only eliminates those problems, but actually gets her excited about dinner.
Just to get it out in the open: we've never created a cookbook before. But we've used so many, studied them meticulously, and noticed that none work for all of us together. (See below for how we've overcome any risks and challenges.) There are cutesy cookbooks for kids that show you how to make sloppy joes, but don't create any appreciation for food. And there are cookbooks for adults that show you how to make eggs benedict using 30 ingredients, but are difficult and frustrating, even for adults sometimes. And no one really talks about doing the whole process with your kids, including having them write lists, deciding on the menu, and setting the table.
When you give kids ownership over what they're going to eat, they'll eat anything.
Soleil's Table gives you the tools to make meals the best part of your day, enables your kids to appreciate food, and brings everyone together around the planning, making, and eating of a meal.
If you've faced these issues, you'll love this book. If you already do this as a family, you'll like the recipes and I bet you know someone who would like learning what you know.
