À propos du créateur
Julie Anderies is a native born Coloradan, woman of the west, freelance art historian and collections manager. She is passionate about art in the Americas, both North and South, and focuses her research on Spanish Colonial, Modern Latin, New Mexican and Colorado art. Anderies received her Masters degree in Art History from the University of Denver where her thesis explored the Diaspora of imagery of the Virgen of Regla, the last Mary figure that Spanish sailors would salute as they set sail for the New World. She coordinated and co-curated Allen True’s West, a collaborative exhibit displayed at the Denver Art Museum, Colorado History Museum and Denver Public Library. She assisted on the research of early Colorado artisans for the Italians in Colorado exhibit at the Colorado Historical Society. Her research, development and exhibit design resulted in the exhibits Fifteen Colorado Artists for the Kirkland Museum and A Taos Original, Ralph Meyers at the Taos Art Museum.
