À propos du livre
My wife Merci and I traveled to Atlanta in April of 2010 with our daughter for the Volleyball Nationals. Merci was suffering from cancer for the third time but insisted on living life as normally as possible. She needed oxygen day and night but still walked to the court to watch our daughter play. Four months later Merci died. My daughter and I went to the Atlanta Volleyball Nationals again the next year. This time I spent most of two days walking the streets of Atlanta with my camera, reflecting on the 30 wonderful years I shared with Merci. I became fascinated by all the continuously changing reflections from the huge glass structures everywhere around me. The duality of internal and external reflections going on at the same time led to the title of the book which contains many high dynamic range images precisely created as you might expect from a man with an engineering degree, and it can be used as a photo travel guide to re-trace my routes. But the creation of this art book also holds painful emotions of loss and fear of a lonely future.
