À propos du livre
The author presents a unique portfolio of his long photographic compositions combining many overlapping images each taken from different viewpoints and merged seamlessly into one picture.
This cannot be done using standard panoramic software. They have, typically, a much higher aspect ratio than normal panoramas and involve many hours post-processing in Photoshop. The techniques used on-site and during processing are published here, it is believed , for the first time.
Examples include Eel Pie Island, Tewkesbury Abbey, the RHS garden at Wisley, the platform mural at Tunbridge Wells railway station, Harrods Christmas display and, overseas, from Venice, Paris and Cairo. The author's own prints extend up to 7metres by 400mm., on roll paper, but could be larger suited to corporate and charity display.
A gently humorous and concise description is provided from the author's personal experiences of researching and photographing each location.
