À propos du livre
This yearbook project is a special tribute to the guys and girls of the 2014-2015 University of Regina Track & Field team.
Unlike the other varsity teams, the track team, in my opinion, is not as visible to the community. The team has approximately two home meets per season which doesn't offer a lot of time to generate community interest and support. Also, due to the nature of the sport, a track meet can have multiple events happening at the same time which can be very distracting for a first time spectator. When these factors combine, athlete identities can seemingly disappear.
The goal of this project is two-fold. The first is to capture a sense of each athlete's personality away from the track by replicating an image of them as if you were to see them walking the hallways at the U of R. The second is to create an image that captures their frame of mind during competition, whether it be relaxed, aggressive or cheerful.
It is my intention that this project will help to raise awareness of the highly successful Track & Field program at the University of Regina and inspire other potential athletes and members of the community to continue to support the program.
