À propos du livre
In legend the Ancient Egyptians believed the bee had sprung from the tears of the Sun god Ra. In Classical Greece the ruler of beekeeping was Pan, god of the woodlands. Myths even say that Cupid dipped his arrows in honey to make love stick to the hearts of young lovers. The industrious honeybee has inspired people for centuries, while the treasures of the hive bring sweetness in honey and light in candles. What is life like through the compound eyes of the bee? Discover bee magic.

À propos du créateur
Hi, I'm Emma, a beekeeper, aromatherapist and blogger. I'm also a fan of travelling, photography, wildlife, science and stripes (bees are stripy). Five years a beekeeper and I have a lot to learn. My blog shares the ups and downs of keeping bee hives, with lots of bee fun, tea and cake thrown in. I was Freshly Pressed by WordPress in 2012 by a post that caused quite a sensation about a monkey-fish, not bees. I became a qualified aromatherapist in 2005 following my diploma in Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Science. I studied the chemical profiles of over 70 essential oils, including their use in anatomy and physiology. My newly opened bookshop will share my love and passion for bees, aromatherapy, photography, travel and more. The books being free to share or priced for charity donations.
