Starting in the Middle Ages and going through the 20th century, this book takes its readers on a lively and enjoyable tour of the history of classical music. With over eighty exquisite recordings to guide the narrative (see "Introduction" for details), your ears will forever thank you for this introduction to the wonderful world of classical music.
The pages are also filled with some of the most impressive paintings from each period, from Lorenzetti (1290 - 1348) and Dürer (1471 - 1528) to Delacroix (1798 - 1863) and Monet (1840 - 1926) making this book part musical history and part art appreciation.

À propos du créateur
Nathaniel Rodrigues dislikes writing in third person. He also heartily dislikes beets (Beta vulgaris), but that is neither here nor there. He used to dislike practicing the piano, but his first teacher (hi mom!) never gave up on him, and the rest is history. He lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with his lovely wife, chickens, and ducks, all of whom are subservient to Rimsky the cat (named after Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov). Nathaniel enjoys the coast, apples, backpacking, and volleyball.
