À propos du livre
Documentation and Term is formatted as an exhibit. The exhibit format begins with its first page forming an artist explanation, ending with the designer / publishers acknowledgement.
The exhibit cuts itself from a series that was created in the span of 365 days. 492 pieces of art were created in various mediums, 365 of these works are numbered by date created and designated into the series. Documentation and Term does include work that is not in the original series of 365.The artist refers to the series as the Document lending itself to the idea of the work as a whole while remaining open to the spectator’s interpretation of the documents mission.
Mason Paul utilizes his signature style as a Photographer while managing to record rapid weather patterns in pushed skyscapes. The landscapes in this series reflect an essence of an altered future or new environment that is yet to be discovered. City scenes have been photographed with multi dimensional properties and a collection of digital pinhole works that seem to have been taken directly from the 18th century.
A selection of the series tracks time, using various methods such as log books to layered computer generated images. Documentation and term also contains a variety of abstract paintings, sculpture and sketches.
On the pages of this published exhibit are 104 works created within the limited time frame allotted for the series.
The series or Document as a whole exhibiting 365 works by date created is scheduled to be released January 4th 2016.
