À propos du livre
Dominique Falla is an Australian tactile typographer, illustrator, graphic designer and author who works in a variety of tactile mediums—she combines digital creation with analogue output for exhibition and publication. Dominique also convenes the Bachelor of Digital Media at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.
In June 2012, Dominique went to Rome to participate in an SVA Masters workshop where she immersed herself in all things typographic. The Postcards from Rome project allowed her family, friends and members of the general public, to share the experience with her via their ‘requests’.
This book has been two years and 12 days in the making. 12 days were spent in Rome, collecting experiences, photographs and ephemera. Two years were then spent making the artwork for the 50 postcards, and writing the stories that accompanied them.
