À propos du livre
In less than 15 years Portisheads dour disused dock has been regenerated into 'Port Marine', and with it came the modern Public Artworks, which extend into the adjacent 'Village Quarter' and 'Ashlands' Nature Reserve.
The book describes the routes in great detail and is backed up with some unique aerial maps. There are also photographic tips on the best time of the day (position of the sun) to visit each artwork to give you the best chance to get that 'killer shot'.
The walks are equally suitable for a solo stroll with a camera or a full blown family expedition! And when you are finished with the exercise and sightseeing, the book will look totally at home on your coffee table as a photographic record of why Portishead has become such a beautiful and popular place to live or visit.

À propos du créateur
Steve, a Marina resident since 2009 and lifelong photographer, cited the closeness to the water, boats and the ever growing collection of Public Arts as major factors in him deciding to move to the area. As the Marina development neared completion in 2013, he set about documenting it in photos. Having walked, ran and cycled around Portishead on numerous occasions as he explored the full set of Public Artwork's himself, he decided it would be a good idea to create some structured routes that would take in all of the sculptures. This would allow the wider public the chance to enjoy the spectacle in full. And so the idea for the Portishead Public Art Trail book was born.
