À propos du livre
La Serenissima, Queen of the Adriatic, Bride of the Sea...
Whatever the name, Venice is an endlessly fascinating subject for the photographer: colorful, romantic, opulent, improbable, with an infinite variety of textures and the most magical qualities of light.
Then there are the people of Venice, who put up with the trials of living in a city where every grocery run, every trash pickup, every appliance repair is carried out on foot or in a small boat; and who also put up with endless hordes of tourists, most of them carrying cameras.
But after the sun sets and the throngs head back to their hotels or leave for the mainland, Venice becomes another city entirely: hushed, mysterious and, for a few hours, empty. So let me show you a special place, a place like no other...
