La Musica: The 2013 iConnect Photography and Poetry Workshop
Each June, The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative and the Albemarle County Public Schools’ Community Outreach office partner to connect young photographers and writers with professional artists and writers from the Charlottesville/Albemarle community. The result is this book: iConnect, a collection of images, portraits, and poems from the week. Each year’s workshop asks participants to focus on a different subject in our community; for 2013, students were asked to explore music in our area, in their lives, and in the eye of their cameras and the pages of their notebooks.
