À propos du livre
During summer 2012 Iain & Nicole Gildea visited unofficial Traveller encampments across Aberdeenshire, alongside a GREC & NHS Scotland health engagement project. They met Travellers from all over the U.K. visiting Aberdeenshire in the summer months for work & to meet up with family & friends. Using cameras and audio recorders they worked with Travellers young and old to record their lives and their thoughts about Travelling in the 21st century and in the North East of Scotland. The images in the book are a mixture of photographs taken by young Travellers to reflect their lives on the road, alongside those taken by Iain & Nicole. These are paired with excerpts from a series of audio interviews with Travelling people and facts about Travellers in Scotland.
