À propos du créateur
Matt Licari was born in Manhattan, grew up in the Bronx, and spent several summers in Maine. He has traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally, and exhibits pictures made abroad in company with pictures made in America. His work explores urban, suburban, and rural subjects with an approach similar to that of a street photographer. He works primarily with a large-format view-camera, but occasionally employs handheld cameras. Licari received his BFA in photography from the School of Art + Design at SUNY Purchase in New York. He's worked as an archivist intern for the Guggenheim Museum and the Richard Avedon Foundation, worked with many artists and photographers, taught photography, guest-lectured at VCU, and worked as a lab technician, printer and retoucher. Licari has been widely shown (Sasha Wolf Gallery, Kris Graves Projects, The Neuberger Museum of Art, etc.) Matt Licari is the Programs Chair of ASMP in VA and is available for editorial and commercial assignments.
