À propos du créateur
Clothylde Vergnes
North Yorkshire, England, UK
From deep roots in the fertile soil of the South of France, now living and painting on the Yorkshire coast. My work currently focuses on landscapes in North Yorkshire, whether the open and empty stretches of the moors or the crowded semi-symbiotic relationship of sea and cottages on the coast. Most of my work is in oils, for I love their rich intensity and depth of colour. Inspired in practice by my experience of stained glass, whereby clours are segregated, and conceptually by Paul Klee's notion of "taking a line for a walk", these landscapes are personal and stylised interpretations, evolved from quick sketches and elaborated in my studio.
