A selection of some of my favorite digital photographs taken over the past few years.
One way or another over the last five decades I have been involved in photography. My interest really began in Germany in the mid fifties when I was in the Air Force. After leaving the military I received a degree from the University of Missouri with a major in Photojournalism. I then spent almost ten years at National Geographic Magazine. Initially hired as a photo editor, my job at the time I left the Geographic involved major responsibility for layout and production. I left the Geographic to teach photography at RIT in Rochester, NY. After seven years at RIT, I returned to Missouri to teach in their Journalism program. While there, I obtained a Master's degree and, in 1980, accepted a position at the University of Memphis, where I remained until my retirement in May of 2011.
