The 2011 Oregon Manifest Constructor's Design Challenge was a groundbreaking design/build competition challenging entrants to develop the Ultimate Modern Utility Bike - a better bike for the everyday rider.
26 Constructors from 10 states and their collaborators, plus 6 student teams each descended upon Portland, Oregon with their interpretation of the next wave transport bike.
In tandem with the competition, the Oregon Manifest Creative Collaborations partnered global design firms Ziba Design, IDEO and fuseproject with accomplished American bicycle craftsmen to create exhibition bikes aimed at pushing the boundaries of what a modern utility bike could be.
